to have a swim in our large, natural fresh water swimming hole.
The Cape Trib Tourist Information Centre and Shop is situated
in Cape Tribulation valley midway between Coconut Beach Rainforest
Resort and PK’s Jungle Village Backpackers.
One of the most common questions is, can we take our car to
Cape Tribulation? - yes, the road is sealed as far as Cape
Tribulation and you only need a 4wd vehicle north of Cape Tribulation,
along the Bloomfield Track.
Daintree River Car Ferry operates from early morning until
late at night but if you are unfamiliar with the road we suggest
a daylight journey is advisable. After you cross the Daintree
River be aware that the concrete creek causeways can delay your
journey after heavy rains when they are flooded so ask an experienced
local driver what is a safe depth to cross.
Fuel is available during daylight hours at two locations
on the Cape Tribulation side of the river.
Internet Access is available at Mason’s and 3 other locations in Cape Tribulation
- PK’s Jungle Bar, The Dragonfly Cafe and Cape Trib Beach House.
Public Telephones are available at numerous locations but
mobile phone reception is limited.
